Speaking The Unspeakable – Voicing The Unheard

1 and 1 = 2?

Maths 1 and 1 = 2 ?

12.5% GST ( Goods and Service Tax ) to be increased to 15% = a 2.5% rise. On all commodities .

Recent example expressed by parliament: the thinking is a rise for low income people of 2.5% on Welfare to cover the rise.

On an income of $300 plus 2.5% = $7.50c

Food                          12.5%  plus new rise  2.5%

Rent                           12.5% plus new rise   2.5%

Phone                        12.5% plus new rise   2.5%

Power                        12.5% plus new rise 2.5%

Petrol                         12.5% plus new rise 2.5%

Add each 2.5% on the individual commodity = 12.5% = 15%. x five times over.

The increase so generously suggested to the poor of a 2.5% of one payment each pay of an increase of $7.50c per week. About the cost of two loaves of bread… and no fish in the basket.

That is the start, not counting the shoes, childrens’ requirements for clothes and education.

When did 1 and 1 stopped equaling two.
